Let me tell you something, these packers are simply amazing. That's it, nothing more needed to say. But, for the interests of good reading, I will say more.
It started out with a few years ago, when the packers made the now good, but very controversial decision to not rehire Bret Favre and instead go with there young QB Aaron Rodgers. He proved Wisconsin they made the right choice. Last years super bowl was only part of the now longest win streak in Packers history, including to seasons, playoffs and regular.
They pulled it off today against the chargers and proved something else, that it isn't all Rodgers and his receivers. When they gave up an early touchdown, I was looking down on their defense, then as if they heard me, they got 2 quick defensive touchdowns which were just part of a great game.
Don't get me wrong, it may be to soon to tell, it always is, (we saw that with the patriots) but this may just be the year that the dolphins are no longer the only team to go undefeated all the way.

NFL: As the Season Really Starts to Unravel Itself, Who Will Prove That They Are Ready to be Superbowl Champions?
It's NFL Sunday and you know what that means, football fans, get your popcorn and order your pizza because you're in for non-stop entertainment! The day started out with seven 1:00 o'clock games consisting of:
NYJ vs. Buf: This WAS A RELATIVELY CLOSE GAME, EXCEPT FOR THE 3RD QUARTER, WHICH IS WHERE IT GOT OUT OF HAND. in the end, the divisional game ended with the jets winning.
SEA VS. DAL: ONCE AGAIN, THIS GAMES DIFFERENCE CAME IN THE 3RD QUARTER. EVEN THOUGH DALLAS ADDED 3 INSURANCE POINTS IN THE 4TH.
CLE VS. HOU: The texans pretty much owned the whole 1st half, giving the browns no room to come back.
atl vs.ind: this was an absolute blowout by the falcons. The only quarter that they didn't win was the 2nd, yet they still got a touchdown that quarter. the colts must
start to play better if they want to prove that they are worth watching.
MIA VS. kc: coming into the game, with a winless record, it was time that the dolphins showed any signs of being a nfl caliber team. They did this, crushing the chiefs, for their first win of the season!
nb vs. no: this divisional game was a huge one for both teams, considering how tight the nfc south division is. the saints dominated until the 4th quarter, where the buccaneers staged a late comeback. It proved however, to not be enough!
sf vs was: this was the closest game so far. both teams had quarters in which they got most points, but the 49ers won the long battle in the end.
there are more games going on right now and more coming later tonight. all games right now are very close. most games only have a field goal differential.
while the standings start to develop, all we can do is cheer for our favourite team and hope for the best!

MLB: World Series Finally Comes to an End!
MLB: World Series
The series was 3-2 in favor of the Rangers. In the top of the 9th, Texas was winning 7-5, men on first and second. Two outs and two strikes, David Freese up to bat. It's all over, Texas will surely win for the first time in team history... Wrong! He hit a Long fly ball over the glove of ther ight fielder. Pujols and Berkam scored and Freese ended up at third. IT WAS ALL TIED UP! After Molina struck out, this game went to extras. Skip ahead to the bottom of the 10th. At this point, Texas was once again leading by two after a Hamilton 2-run homer. Man on first and third Lance Berkman up to bat. St. Louis scored already that inning and made it a one run game. Either way there were once again two outs and two strikes. Texas will win, they must. They can't repeat what they did last inning... Once again, wrong. Berkman singled on a line drive to center field, Jon Jay scored, and once again... It was all tied up. After getting the third out, Texas headed to the 11th determined to win. They scored nothing, absolutely nothing. That wasn't the case for the Cards. First to bat, who else other that David Freese? LONG DRIVE, CENTER FIELD... GONE! It was over. The team that came back to make it to the post season, came back to force a game 7 not once, not twice but three times in one game. St. Louis Cardinals of 2011=miracle team.
So going into Friday night, which was it going to be? The eleventh World Series won by the Cardinals? or the first ever Texas Ranger Word Series Title? This game was in my opinion an absolute disappointment considering it was the decisive game for the the best team in the MLB. After having a successful first inning, it was like Texas just gave up on winning. The offence was not the only issue though. This was a game which in my opinion, should have featured Holland starting for Texas. For some reason, Ron Washington chose to play him in the bullpen the night before, therefore making him unavailable. Scott Feldman ended up starting for Texas and allowed four runs. Issues continued with the bullpen. In that disastrous 5th inning for Texas. Both runs came without any hits. In fact, all runners that reached base that inning, reached due to walks. After that, Texas just wasn't able to score or do anything positive. The game ended with a Murphy, fly ball hit to left field. The team that shouldn't have even made it to the Post-Season, won the title of the best baseball team in the world.
Ron Washington's club lost in the Worlds Series for two consecutive years. After the trophy was awarded to St. Louis, it was declared that David Freese (a St. Louis native) was the World Series MVP. So it's done. The season is over. The trophy will be held at St. Louis for the 11th time ever. As someone that doesn't like either of these two teams, you might be saying "It doesn't effect me". The truth is, it effects all of baseball. Perhaps this win will lead Tony La Russa to stay in St. Louis. Maybe your favorite team could use a new Manager. What about Albert Pujols. Along with Votto and Fielder, he will be one of the most viewed at, free agents this off season. Let's be honest here. What team wouldn't want Pujols? Maybe however, this lead him to want to stay in St. Louis.
So even though our regular season insight is over, that doesn't mean that our talk of the MLB is over. For any insight on this MLB off-season, or any sport, log onto 711 sports!

NHL: Pacioretty's Comeback!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jimZ1tSdPY0
Yep, the time has finally come: Max Pacioretty vs. Zdeno Chara. Last season, going into that March, divisional rivalry match, everyone thought that it was going to be a fast paced game with plenty of hits, plenty of regular hits at least. With a few seconds left in the period, 6 foot 9, Zdeno Chara landed a huge hit on Montreal player Max Pacioretty, sending him straight into a metal pole on the rink. This resulted in only a concussion and broken bones which is terrible but in my mind a miracle. It actually happened. One of the biggest rivalries in NHL history, actually became an even bigger rivalry, perhaps in all of sports, at the time. So when the Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins met in their next match, it was a huge one. Not only for the league record, but for team pride. Although that game was a huge one, it was nothing compared to the game happening tonight...
An NHL season later, Max Pacioretty is ready... ready big time! I can only imagine how many things are going through his mind before this game. This game is not however, only huge for the Canadiens. The Bruins want to prove that they became Stanley Cup winners by no coincidence. They`re ready to show the Canadiens what a real team is made of. Neither of the teams have showed that so far this season. Both of the teams are in the bottom of their division with the Leafs, Sens and Sabres in the top 3. The Canadiens however, have been a laughing stock lately, starting off with the worst record they have had since the early 1940s. Maybe that game against the Flyers was a season starter. So let`s see how it will go tonight. the game that will prove which of the two teams is not only higher up in the standings, but considered the real deal!

Overall Update: MLB, NFL, NHL, RWC and More
Sorry we haven't posted lately. We hope to catch up to what you've missed, so here here is an overall update for lots of recent sports news. First off,
MLB: What's happening in St. Louis?
For a team that was often third in the NL Central and sometimes farther back in the WC standings, and was over 7 games back from wild card going into september, the red-birds climb to glory could be described as the biggest comeback in sports history. Sure, the Rays came back from a bigger deficit, but what did they do in the playoffs? NOTHING! Zip, Zada, Zilch. But when the Cards beat the red-hot phillies, things started to look brighter. And then their good playing combined with the lack of that with the brewers, made an interesting show in the NLDS but again, they prevailed. Sure, the Rangers are up 3-2 in the WS now, but that could change with the next two games being in St. Louis. Tomorrow and Friday due to rain.
NFL; Could Green Bay Repeat?
Some may say it's too early to tell, but with the season's halfway mark insight, green bay has been putting on a heck of a show. The only undefeated team, at 7-0 it could lead you to think that they could, if not win it, at least make it to the super bowl this year. We'll see how they fare in upcoming weeks, but if they win those games, maybe, just maybe, we could be seeing a dolphin style perfect season, or at least a patriot style choke.
NHL: Pittsburgh and The Stars On Top With Jets Not Doing That Great.
Pittsburgh is on top of the eastern conference now, closely followed by the Capitals, a classic rivalry, and on top of the west is the Stars followed the Hawks. Amazingly for them, behind the Penguins and the Caps in the east is the Leafs with 11 points. I don't want to jinx it but could this be the year they at least make the playoffs? Knowing the Leafs, they will probably hold this lead for a few more moths and then crash and burn in the depths of winter, before making a good but not good enough comeback towards the end. Also, the Jets have been disappointing to their rabbid Winnipeg fans in last place in the east and 2nd last overall.
RWC: All Blacks Are Back
After the earthquake stricken New Zealand lost to Australia in the tri-nations final a few months ago, things were looking grim going into this cup. But they managed to pull it off, much to the glee of hometown fans, against france to claim the title.
Also
R.I.P. Indy Car driver Dan Wheldon after his car uplifted and smashed into a wall at the Los Vegas speedway about a week ago, highlighting the dangers of the sport.
And Congrats to the PANAM Canadian baseball team who claimed gold after beating the U.S. in a game, for the second or third time in history.

Soccer-Champions League: The Champions League finally resumes!
After a long pause, the UEFA Champions League finally resumed on Oct. 18th, to help determine the placing of the group stages. When the groups were decided in the end of the summer, it was a long awaited draw which ended up to be very interesting. The groups being- click on this link: http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2012/standings/index.html. The most significant games have been played these past two days were: Inter 1-0 Lille, Otelul Galati 0-2 Man U, Real Madrid 4-0 Lyon, Bayern 1-1 Napoli, Man City 2-0 Villarreal, Chelsea 5-0 Genk, Marseille 0-1 Arsenal, AC Milan 2-0 Bate, and Barcelona 2-0 Plzen.
Some of the groups are by no means decided yet but there is definitively hype going on already. Group H isn't exactly the most difficult group but it sure has two of the best teams. It may be obvious that A.C. Milan and Barcelona will be the teams moving through but the competition between the clubs is definitively not over. Both teams are at seven points and can't seem to shake each other off. Bate and Plzen (both stuck at one point) are not going to catch up, but can still effect the outcome of who advances in what placing, considering that Milan and Barcelona are fighting for 1st and 2nd place. Perhaps the only deciding game will be the next match between these two clubs in Milano.
Every group- with the exception of Group F which is being dominated by Real Madrid- have tight races for either 1st or 2nd place. Actually, even Group F has a tight race for the second place right now. Hopefully teams like Inter Milan and Manchester United can remember that they're supposed to be some of the best teams in the world right now. Maybe then they`ll snap back into a good team. At least Man U has been great in the Premiere League, Inter Milan has been one of the worst teams in the Serie A lately. Is it just a slow start, or the beginning of a new era where Inter stops dominating?

NHL: Will This Season be Different?
The NHL season has started off with memories of last year being a good one, with the bruins taking it to game seven and beating the Canucks at home. The Vancouver riots overshadowed that a bit but there was something else that also hung over the league: head shots. Especially one specific indecent, losing Sidney Crosby, a blow to the NHL's popularity as well as it's violent culture. And then, in the Stanley cup finals, Horton was completely leveled on an unbelievably late hit by Aaron Rome which knocked him out of the series. Sure, blindside hits were banned for the first time that season, and Rome was kicked out of the playoffs, he said that he'd hit him the same way again. He says that it's unfair to not charge other players for hits, but deal out a suspension to him. This could be fair in some peoples eyes, but to me, there can never be change if people use this as an excuse.
With more and more health officials talking about the dangers of head injuries, we come to the same question as is the title, When will there be a real change? Will this season be different? How can you tell?
In some ways, it is to early to tell, but there is a probability that maybe it will. An new update to rule 48, the relatively new rule banning blind-side shots, states that any intentional hits to the head will be ruled as a two minute major, with possible disciplinary action. This may just be the next step, but some activists say the league should go farther and ban any type of head contact, on purpose or accidental.
Some players may not like this rule, but they have to realize, it's for them.
